Founder/Director, GOOD DIRT. Athens Ceramic Work Center, Athens, GA. (1998-2004), Good Dirt is a community art center offering programs in ceramics and other media, serving quarterly c. 100 adult students and c.50 youth, with c.1800 additional workshop participants annually, including a 10 week summer camp program. The 5000 square foot facility includes 17 wheels, slab roller, extruder, an 80 cubic foot gas kiln, 4 electric kilns, outdoor raku kiln, firing and glazing areas, 6 resident artist studios, and room for three simultaneous classes.
Responsibilities included:
• developing course offerings and quarterly brochures. Visiting workshop instructors include: Ron Meyers, Rick Berman, Ted Saupe, Michael Simon, Randy Johnston and Jan McKeachie Johnston and Linda Christianson.
• coordinating studio operations, building and equipment maintenance, volunteer staff of 15 and office and studio managers.
• managing bookkeeping, advertising and reception.
• organizing Annual Pottery Exhibition and Sale with c.35 exhibitors
• teaching all levels of ceramics

Developed community ceramics program in conjunction with UGA and Good Dirt.

Responsible for exhibition coordination, preparation and installation. Managed work-study staff of 10 students. Assisted Director in exhibition research and development, catalogue publication, and educational outreach.
